Night Creams
They are skin care cosmetics used before going to bed at night in order to ensure the self-renewal and care of the skin.
The skin is constantly exposed to the negative external factors around it during the daytime hours. Dust, sun, stress at work and the tension created by daily hustle damage the skin throughout the day. The products we use during the day help our skin fight and protect against these factors. The skin renews itself at night. At night, when the body is at rest, the process of self-renewal of cells occurs three times faster. Because only in the dark, some hormones secreted when we are at rest accelerate the process of nourishment and regeneration of our skin.
Whether it is really necessary to use two separate creams for day and night is a subject that is constantly wondered. Although there is no big difference in the structures of day and night creams, night creams are of great importance as a preventive measure or to support daytime care. For example, keeping a day cream containing protection factors on the skin at night increases the sensitivity of the skin due to the sun filters in its structure. The same is true for day creams that give the skin a light tint. In addition, day creams are mostly used for moisturizing purposes, while night creams have nourishing, refreshing and regenerating content.
The rate of skin regeneration slows down at the age of 25 and beyond. For this reason, it is recommended to use a night cream from the age of 25, regardless of whether there is a problem with the skin. The use of night cream in the recommended period accelerates cell regeneration and delays the aging process of the skin.
Types of Night Creams
Night creams, like other cosmetic products, vary according to the type of skin. Generally, cosmetic product brands have special series prepared in accordance with skin types. The night creams in these series are applied as a systematic treatment together with the other products of the series. For example, using a day cream, mask, peeling and serum at the same time while using a night cream of a series prepared for oily skin provides care for the skin in every aspect. Even if we exclude mask, peeling or serum from this cure, it is recommended to use night creams with a combined day cream.
It should not be forgotten that the skin of a person aged 25-30 does not show the same characteristics as the skin of a person aged 40-45. For this reason, the age of the person and the degree of sagging and wrinkling of the skin should be taken into consideration as well as the type of skin when choosing a night cream. While night creams that will rejuvenate the skin and maintain the moisture and oil balance are preferred at an earlier age, night creams that will recover sagging, prevent wrinkles and supplement the skin with the substances it needs should be preferred in later ages.
Today, cosmetics companies have introduced night creams with different effects to the market, both with series prepared for skin types and with special series that can be used by every skin type, regardless of skin type. The effects of different night creams can be listed as follows:

Night creams are applied to the cleansed skin about an hour before going to bed at night and the pores are tightened with toner, just like daytime moisturizers. Take a sufficient amount of the selected night cream (with a spatula if it is in a jar). Equal amounts of product taken from the hand are placed on the forehead, on the nose, cheeks, chin and décolleté. It is fed to the whole skin with circular movements from bottom to top and in the direction of the muscle. While feeding, care should be taken not to put too much pressure on the skin and not to apply the product around the eyes.
The reason why night creams are not applied just before going to bed is that the cream on the skin does not get on the bed or pillow and is not absorbed by the pillow.
Eye Contour Cosmetics
These are cosmetic products specially prepared for this area, taking into account the sensitivity and fine structure of the skin around the eyes.
The fact that the skin around the eyes has a thin and sensitive structure, as well as many mimic movements using the eyes, cause this area to quickly wrinkle and form horizontal lines called crow’s feet. The lines formed become more visible and deep with advancing age. The signs of aging around the eyes are not just lines and wrinkles. It can also be observed that the skin around the eyes and eyelids loses its elasticity, sagging, and color changes such as bags under the eyes and bruises occur.
Eye products provide vitamin and mineral support by moisturizing and maintaining the eye area. Thus, it helps to repair wrinkles and sagging. However, an important point in this regard is to start using eye creams at an appropriate age, just like night creams. Like night creams, it is recommended to use eye creams from the age of 25 on average, regardless of whether there is a problem around the eyes. The use of the product, which is started in the recommended periods, allows delaying the aging of the skin. Starting to use the product after wrinkles and sagging occurs cannot completely reverse or correct these formations. It only prevents or delays the formation of new ones.

Creams are recommended for people who are older or have more deformation around the eyes. It is recommended that a person who has started using eye products at the age of 25 should switch to creams when they reach the age of 40.
Application Method
Eye creams are applied in the morning and evening after cleansing the skin. A little of the lentil-sized eye cream taken on the ring finger is distributed on the other ring finger. Starting from the outer part of the eye, it is fed with light strokes and circular movements applied by drawing 8 lines.
Eye creams offered by some companies can also be used as eye masks. It is sufficient to apply the eye cream, which is used in the morning and evening, as an eye mask once a week. Again, after cleaning the skin, an intense amount of eye cream is applied around the eyes. After waiting for 15-20 minutes without mimicking, the remaining cream is applied to the eye area with massage movements.
Eye Contour Gels

Its application is the same as eye creams. It cannot be used as a mask.
Eye Contour Ampoules
They are ampoules prepared in concentrated form, containing intense active substances. It provides intensive care around the eyes with its cooling effect. It has properties that remove lines around the eyes, reduce wrinkles, lighten bruises and rejuvenate their appearance.
Application Method
After cleansing the skin, apply one drop to each eye in the morning and evening. Application Method
After the skin is cleaned, the eye area is expected to dry completely. The product is removed from the package. The shiny part of the pads glued on the transparent packaging is glued around the eyes. 10-15 minutes wait. At the end of the waiting period, the pads are removed with a slight movement and are not used again. After the application, an eye product in the form of a cream, gel or ampoule can be applied.
Eye Contour Masks
Eye masks are care cosmetics that make the eye area revitalize and look good in a short time. It is preferred when preparing for a special day, when the eyes are very tired, and when a quick effect is desired in a short time.
As mentioned above, some eye creams also have the feature of being used as an eye mask. Eye pads are also used as masks. In addition to these, there are masks specially prepared for the eye area. They also have properties of relaxation, rejuvenation, soothing the eyes against burning and stinging sensations and tightening the eye area.
Application Method
It is applied to clean skin. The product, taken in sufficient amount in the hand, is gently applied to the entire eye area. After waiting for 10 minutes, the excess of the mask is cleaned with a small cotton ball. When the product is applied in a small amount, it is completely absorbed around the eyes and there is no need to clean the excess.
Neck Creams
Cosmetic products that are prepared for the neck and décolleté, that relax, moisturize and delay the effects of aging are called neck creams.
A mistake made by many cosmetic product users, who do not have much knowledge on the subject, is that they only care for the face, but do not pay the necessary attention to the neck and décolleté. However, skin aging is seen not only on the face but also on the neck, décolleté and even hands. The care made to the face area, the cosmetics used improve the condition of this area, eliminate or alleviate the signs of aging. On the neck and décolleté, sagging, loss of elasticity and formation of deep lines are observed as aging continues. Application Method
Neck creams and gels are applied to cleansed skin morning and evening. Sufficient amount of cream/gel handled is evenly distributed over the neck and décolleté. It is fed into the skin with light massage movements in the direction of the muscle, from the bottom up, without pressing too much. If closed clothing is to be worn, wait until the product is absorbed from the skin.
Serum, Ampoules and Capsules
They are mostly liquid or light oily concentrated products prepared for the highest level of absorption of different active ingredients by the skin. The purposes and usage patterns of these products are the same. Their differences stem from the serum, ampoule or capsule form they are prepared in. Serum, ampoule and capsule forms are shown in the pictures below.
Serum, ampoule and capsules are used to prevent moisture, oiliness, fatigue, nutrition, wrinkle, etc. In a very short time, it supports and eliminates the skin needs that arise in cases. The active content in their structure varies according to the problems we have mentioned, and the product selection is made in line with the needs of the skin. Due to its thinned liquid structure, it is absorbed very quickly from the skin and shows its effects in a very short time.
There are a wide variety of serums, ampoules and capsules with different contents in the product range of cosmetic companies. The most known and encountered types of these can be listed as follows:

There is a point to be considered in use, which is that the products are immediately applied to the skin as soon as they are opened. Because the active substances in their structure begin to lose their effect as soon as they come into contact with air. The frequency of use also varies according to the product contents and the manufacturer’s recommendations. It can be used daily, 1-2 times a week or once a month.
Application Method
Serums are generally available in pump or dropper packages. This packaging facilitates adequate intake of the product. Since the bottle does not take air, it can be used for a long time without spoiling the product feature. Sufficient amount of serum taken from a pump bottle or with the help of a dropper is fed to the skin with light buffer movements. When using a dropper, the product can also be dripped directly onto the skin.
The ampoules, which are prepared in the form of a thin glass bottle, are used by breaking the knuckle of the bottle. In order to prevent glass cuts, the bulb is broken by holding it with a towel or cloth. Glass shards should be prevented from stretching into the product. Otherwise, cuts may be formed on the skin. Ampoules are usually prepared in an amount to be applied to the face and décolleté at one time. It should be applied immediately as soon as the ampoule is broken. In the case of ampoules that need to be applied gradually, the content is drawn into an injector so that the product activity is not lost. Broken ampoules should not be stored, but should be used immediately. The application technique is the same as with serums.
Capsules are products in which the active ingredient is packaged in small quantities. Tiny capsules are also put into a jar and made available for use. Each capsule is opened by removing the head from the thinned part and used and finished in one go. Opened capsules should not be stored for later use. The application technique is the same as for serum and ampoules.
